Welcome to Tanzania Mines, Energy and Construction Workers’ Union (TAMICO) which is a democratic Trade Union in Tanzania founded in 1995 and registered in accordance with the Trade Unions Act No.10 of 1998 as amended by Employment and Labor Relations Act No. 6 of 2004. The Union is affiliated to the national center that is the Trade Union Congress of Tanzania (TUCTA), IndustriALL Global Union and Building and Wood Workers International (BWI).

We organize, recruit and provide services to members from the Mining, Energy and Construction sectors. The Head Office of the Union is located in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and other offices are spread across regions in Northern, Southern-highlands, Lake Zone, Western, Coastal and Central zones with 11,200+ active members across the country. The Union is running according to its constitution, regulations and it adheres to principles of good governance, labor standards and maintains Trade Union democracy.

Our mission is to unite, educate and advocate for the welfare of all workers. Our belief is that all workers are equal and through unity we can improve working conditions, individual living standards and the national economy.
